Variety has always been part of British culture, since the early days of television from the Sunday Night At The London Palladium, to the present The Royal Variety Show. Through the decades the variety shows have been in different guises representing audiences taste's of the time. There has been no real variety shows to cater for the public as a series for a very long time. ( until now)

Collecting fossils in this country is popular and there is a large interest in the subject that can be presented in a interesting and informative way. David Attenborough programs have often brought this subject into millions of homes with great success.
